Indian Railways Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications (IRISET), Secunderabad signed MoU with Delhi Technological
University ( DTU), Delhi on 22.04.2026 to introduce Railway Signalling and Automatic Train Protection System - KAVACH in B Tech program. The aim is to introduce this course
as electives to B.Tech. students to upskill their knowledge in the area of indigenous Automatic Train Protection System – Kavach and Modern Railway Signalling systems.
This exercise is done as part of capacity cum capability building, mission of the Ministry of Railways.

of Technology ( IIT/ BHU), Varanasi on 08.04.2026 to introduce Railway Signalling and Automatic Train Protection System - KAVACH to UG/PG students through
Project/Research programs..The aim is to enhance collaboration on projects and explore innovation and emerging technologies in the area of indigenous Automatic
Train Protection System – Kavach and Modern Railway Signalling systems. IRISET will jointly collaborate IIT/ BHU faculty in such initiatives and also provide advanced
laboratory facilities at IRISET for such students for better learning experience. This exercise is done as part of capacity cum capability building, mission of the Ministry of Railways.
MoU was signed by Shri Sharad Kumar Srivastava, IRSSE, Director General, IRISET, and Prof Amit Patra, Director of IIT ( BHU in presence of Railway officials Shri T Ramesh Babu, Sr Prof ( Sig II & Kavach)
and IIT( BHU) officials , Prof Rajesh Kumar, Dean R&D, Prof Kalpana Choudhary, Professor , EE and faculty
